Properties in Croydon Park

Sydney's Inner West is a great place to call home - and the community of Croydon Park is no exception. Don't let the suburb's small size fool you - this is a great place to embrace the outdoor lifestyle and the perfect community for families.

Located within the municipality of the City of Canterbury, Croydon Park has something to offer everyone - and with its village-like atmosphere, you'll hardly believe it's situated so close to the heart of Sydney.

Croydon Park - getting out and about

If you're looking for a community that allows you to get back to nature and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle Australia is known for, Croydon Park is a great place to call home.

With numerous parks and parklands accessible from the suburb, there's no better place to get out on your bike, take a stroll or enjoy a picnic on the banks of the Cooks River. The area is well-serviced by a cycleway that connects the Olympic Park at Homebush with Botany Bay, and various sport and recreation facilities are available at Croydon Park, Flockhart Park, Rosedale Reserve and Lees Park.

Croydon Park itself is located at the intersection of Croydon Avenue and Albert Road and boasts two full-size soccer fields, as well as three mini soccer fields, children's play equipment, two cricket pitches with synthetic grass and access to the river walkway and cycleway. The park dates back to the late 19th century and was the first private land given to Canterbury Council for the purposes of creating a public park.

Croydon Park amenities

Croydon Park has been a residential suburb of Sydney since the early 20th century and the area is well-serviced by a number of local amenities. The commercial area of Georges River Road is largely comprised of local family-owned businesses, but there are also larger shopping areas close by in the neighbouring communities of Ashfield, Burwood and Campsie.

While the area is not serviced by a train station, a number of regular bus routes pass through Croydon Park, including direct links to the Sydney CBD and Campsie.
